Pastor Mike and his wife Rebecca both graduated from the University of Michigan with degrees in Actuarial Mathematics. They got married in 1991, and both were trained for the ministry by serving for over two decades in just about every aspect of a local church in the Chicago NW suburbs.
They were also part of the regular everyday workforce during their "training period"
in the areas of Actuarial Pension Consulting, Property Casualty Insurance, and
Software & Automated Test Engineering.
Then while Becky detoured her career to focus on homeschooling their four children (a work still very much in progress!), Mike went into the Medical Device industry for the past ~12 years where he managed teams in the areas of Test/Quality and Systems Engineering. At his last post, he was an Investigator of hospital medical device failures from technical & regulatory perspectives.
Mike and Becky are both avid readers, musicians, foodies, jacks-of-all-trades, math/science geeks,
& use MS EXCEL for EVERYTHING
(even for Bible Studies!)
The whole family has also enjoyed studying
Tae Kwon Do together for the past few years.
Josh and Angela are both alumni of Midwestern Baptist College where they met as fellow students and were married afterwards. Before settling down at Twin Cities, they served the Lord for quite a few years, ministering to local churches in the Midwest, East Coast, and even Canada as travelling musicians.
Coming from a homeschooling family, Josh has had many opportunities to develop his craft(s) as an accomplished piano player, puppeteer, and film-maker, just to name a few. [His films are something we all look forward to seeing
in our annual July VBS!]
In the workplace realm, Josh works in the Marketing Media Department of an
up-and-coming start up company
based out of Grand Rapids.
Angela is a trained soprano, who participates regularly in the church choir, and as a soloist. She keeps herself busy by raising their preschool daughter, whom they also plan on homeschooling in the future. Additionally, Angela runs a home side-business for cosmetics and essential oils.
The Foresters have a desire to see teens grow in the Lord and to really understand not only THE WHAT about their faith & beliefs, but also THE WHY it is so... and in particular, how to prove it in the Bible. We hope you will consider their ministry at Twin Cities Baptist to supplement your teenager's spiritual development during his/her critical Jr & High School years!
